Going to the gym is a great way to stay in shape and improve your overall health, but accidents do happen. You may follow all the rules and still suffer a serious injury while working out. Gym injuries can be caused by several factors: defective equipment, a slippery floor or poor maintenance such as loose tiles in the locker room. If you do hurt yourself, it’s important to know your rights and what steps you can take to protect yourself.
First, seek medical attention immediately. Even if your injury seems minor at first, it’s important to have it evaluated by a medical professional. Some serious injuries, such as concussions may not be
immediately apparent. Doing so also provides a record of your injuries that can be used when filing a personal injury claim against those responsible.
Next, inform the gym staff of your injury since you’ll want to fill out an accident form. Make sure to document the details of the accident, including the date, time, and location, as well as any witnesses who may have seen what happened. Get the name of the staff member that helps you. If you’re physically able to, take photos of the area also.
Your gym may have signs warning they aren’t liable for injuries. Most also include some language to that effect in their membership contract. However, they are still responsible for maintaining a safe
environment and providing equipment that is in good working order. If they fail to meet this duty of care, and you are injured as a result, you may be entitled to compensation.
To prove negligence, you must show that the gym had a duty of care to you, that they breached that duty, and that their breach caused your injury. For example, if you slipped and fell on a wet floor that had not been marked with a warning sign, the gym may be held liable for your injuries because they failed to provide a safe environment. On the other hand, if you injured yourself because you used equipment improperly, you likely wouldn’t have a case.
Attorney J.J. Dominguez of The Dominguez Firm stresses the importance of taking legal action quickly, “Consult with a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible. There is a time limit, legally known as the
statute of limitations for filing a claim. It varies by state. In California, it’s two years from the date of your gym accident, in New York it’s three years. Also, waiting hurts your case. Vital evidence will be lost, you could lose contact with witnesses and defense attorneys will invariably question why you waited so long to file.” He continued, “You’ll need a personal injury lawyer. If you fell, which is the most common type of gym accident, preferably a slip and fall attorney,” he concluded.
If you do decide to pursue legal action, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, do not speak to the gym’s insurance company or sign any documents from them. Insurance companies are often more concerned with protecting their bottom line than fairly compensating injured parties. If they can get a person to take a low offer, they will, regardless of the seriousness of the injuries. In short, all communication should be through your attorney.
Second, document everything. Keep track of all medical bills and receipts, as well as any other expenses you may have incurred due to your injury. Among the types of compensation you could be entitled to are medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
If you suffer a serious injury at the gym, know your right and how to protect them. Waiting for the
insurance company to do the right thing is usually a bad idea. Instead, seek the help of an experienced personal injury lawyer. Let them deal with the insurance company so you can concentrate on feeling better.
American consumers are spending more on wellness. They’re also expecting more from it.
From hormone-balancing supplements to functional tonics and vascular-tech breakthroughs, a new wave of businesses is redefining what it means to feel and be well. Today’s most promising health-forward brands are leaning into personalization, prevention, and performance, blending clinical-grade science with consumer accessibility.
The market is massive. The Global Wellness Institute valued the global wellness economy at $6.3 trillion in 2023, and forecasts it will hit $9 trillion by 2028. U.S. consumers are driving this growth, particularly in fast-growing segments such as metabolic support, sleep optimization, and longevity-enhancing treatments.
But wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. For many, it begins with managing stress or improving daily energy. For others, it’s about addressing biological shifts like hormonal decline. And for those facing serious medical risks, it’s about life-saving interventions that move beyond pills and routines.
While these three companies are different, together they capture the evolution of wellness: from everyday recovery to optimized aging and medical-grade repair.
cbdMD: Functional Stress Relief
For a generation increasingly focused on sleep, energy, and mood stability, “self-care” has gone clinical. Enter cbdMD—a wellness brand turning everyday stress relief into a science-backed routine.
While the company has recently expanded into social-friendly formats like alcohol-free drink mixers and adaptogenic tonics, its loyal following stems from its broad-spectrum CBD gummies and tinctures, crafted to promote calm focus and mental clarity, without THC or synthetic additives.
CBD (cannabidiol) interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, especially CB1 and CB2 receptors, believed to help regulate stress response, inflammation, and mood. While research is ongoing, peer-reviewed studies suggest that broad-spectrum CBD may reduce cortisol, improve sleep onset, and support nervous system balance. One 2019 study found that nearly 80% of participants saw anxiety improvements after CBD use, while another 2023 study linked 50mg daily use to better perceived sleep and immune health.
Unlike many CBD brands that lean on vague wellness buzzwords, cbdMD prioritizes third-party testing, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and GMP-certified production to back its claims.
As stress management becomes a core pillar of health, cbdMD is positioning itself not as a fad, but as a scalable tool in the science-backed future of functional recovery.
21 Again: Men’s Wellness for the Age of Optimization
There’s a quiet revolution happening in men’s health, and 21 Again is at the center of it. Founded by food scientist and wellness entrepreneur Jarret Stopforth, Ph.D., the company offers a modern, non-invasive solution to support testosterone, metabolism, and cognitive clarity in men over 35.
Their flagship product, 21 Again Rewind, is a plant-based supplement made with ashwagandha, fenugreek, and tongkat ali—botanicals with emerging evidence in hormone support. Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce cortisol and raise DHEA-S levels in some clinical trials. Fenugreek contains protodioscin, which may help boost free testosterone levels. Tongkat ali is thought to stimulate luteinizing hormone, supporting the body’s testosterone production.
Anecdotal feedback includes increased energy, improved mood, reduced body fat, and stronger motivation. According to internal company data, some users report testosterone increases of up to 400 ng/dL over 90 days, though broader clinical validation is still needed.
21 Again reflects a growing shift in men’s wellness: moving away from silent suffering and synthetic shortcuts, and toward data-aware, evidence-informed solutions that are accessible and stigma-free.
FastWave Medical: The Vascular Tech Startup Solving a Silent Killer
Not all health innovation is wearable, and the most important tools don’t live in wellness aisles. FastWave Medical is one of the few startups tackling a deadly but often invisible threat: calcified arterial disease.
This condition, often worsened by diabetes and chronic kidney disease, leads to heart attacks, strokes, and limb loss, and is notoriously resistant to standard interventions. Traditional angioplasty struggles in calcified arteries, where vessels are too hardened to expand safely, increasing the risk of rupture or restenosis.
FastWave’s solution is a catheter-based intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) system, modeled after the sonic technology used to break up kidney stones. By emitting focused sonic pressure waves into the vessel wall at a rate of 5 Hz (five times faster than first-generation IVL), the device fractures hardened calcium, opening up the artery to allow for optimal stent expansion.
Unlike cutting balloons or atherectomy devices, which can place undue stress on fragile arterial walls, FastWave’s system uses focused acoustic energy pulses to fracture calcified plaque while preserving surrounding tissue. With eight issued U.S. patents, strong backing from investors, and recent recognition as one of Fierce MedTech’s “Fierce 15”, FastWave is quickly becoming a startup to watch in interventional cardiology.
Why the Market Is Watching
Whether it’s a non-alcoholic tonic, a botanical hormone support capsule, or a catheter-based sonic tool, each of these companies is meeting a rising expectation: health tools must be proactive, personalized, and rooted in credible science.
And the demand is rising. McKinsey estimates that 70% of U.S. consumers now prioritize health and wellness, with surging interest in functional nutrition, digital health, and preventative care.
From mood regulation to hormonal balance to vascular health, these brands represent the new frontier of wellness—one that doesn’t separate lifestyle from science, but blends the two into smarter, more effective solutions.
Because in the future of health, “wellness” won’t just be what feels good—it’ll be what works.
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) are neurodevelopmental conditions that affect millions of children and adults worldwide. They often show up as trouble focusing, staying organized, or following through on tasks, but these challenges are more than just bad habits. Left unaddressed, they can negatively impact school, work, and relationships.
Getting tested for ADHD or ADD is a decisive step toward gaining more control over your life. For residents of Temecula and Palm Desert, support is now easier to find. With ADHD testing available in Temecula and a trusted ADHD specialist in Palm Desert, understanding how your brain works has never been more accessible or more critical.
Testing isn’t just for kids anymore. Adults, too, are discovering how diagnosis can lead to fundamental changes in mood and productivity.
Recognizing the Signs of ADHD and ADD
Attention disorders often go unnoticed. People may think they’re simply disorganized or not trying hard enough. In reality, ADHD and ADD can show up in ways that are easy to overlook.
Common symptoms include trouble focusing, forgetting responsibilities, feeling restless, or being impulsive. If left unaddressed, these signs can appear in childhood and continue into adulthood.
The Role of Evaluation in Managing ADHD
Testing is the first step toward real answers. A clinical evaluation helps identify what’s going on, not just whether someone has ADHD or ADD, but how it affects their life.
Benefits of early and accurate diagnosis:
Prevents academic or work struggles from snowballing
Reduces stress in relationships and improves communication
Helps tailor effective strategies for support and care
Without testing, many people continue to feel frustrated and misunderstood.
ADHD Testing Options for Temecula Residents
Local families and individuals now have ADHD testing available in Temecula. Evaluations are personalized based on age, background, and symptoms, so each person receives a complete understanding of their unique profile.
Testing includes interviews, behavioral assessments, symptom questionnaires, and history reviews. These tools help remove guesswork from the equation and build a stronger plan for success.
Choosing the Right ADD Professionals in Temecula
For an accurate diagnosis, seeking professional ADD testing in Temecula is essential. Experienced providers can tell the difference between ADD and other conditions like anxiety, depression, or learning differences. Look for a qualified provider with:
Clinical training in neurodevelopmental disorders
Experience with both children and adults
A personalized, non-judgmental approach to care
Working with professionals who understand the whole picture leads to better outcomes.
Accessing ADHD Specialist Care in Palm Desert
For those in the Coachella Valley, working with a local ADHD specialist in Palm Desert means gaining access to thorough evaluations and targeted support. These experts provide a diagnosis and ongoing help with managing symptoms in real life.
Services often include therapy referrals, medication options, planning tools for organization, and guidance for caregivers. With the proper support, living with ADHD becomes more manageable and much less stressful.
Empowerment Through Diagnosis
Getting tested doesn’t mean getting labeled; it means gaining insight. Diagnosis helps people understand how their brain works and how to adjust their environment and habits for success. You’ll walk away with:
A clearer picture of your challenges and strengths
Better tools to manage daily routines and focus
Support that’s built around how you think, not how others expect you to
That kind of awareness is a game-changer.
Start Your Journey to Clarity
If you live in Temecula or Palm Desert, testing is now within reach. With local professionals who care and personalized plans that work, this is your chance to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Start today and take the first step toward better focus, healthier habits, and a clearer mind.
Major Depressive Disorder (depression) is one of the most common mental disorders in the United States, affecting millions of Americans. In 2022, depression was estimated to affect approximately 18% of adults in California.
Treatment options like medication and psychotherapy can help, but for those who have treatment-resistant depression (TRD), these options can fall short. Brain stimulation treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) are specifically designed to bring relief to those with persistent depression. TMS Treatment in Costa Mesa offers hope and a new option for the millions suffering from depression in California.
How TMS Therapy Works
TMS is an FDA-approved treatment that uses electromagnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation and executive function. An electromagnetic coil placed on the scalp emits pulses to activate those regions that typically show low activity levels in those with depression.
By promoting brain activity, TMS can support neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to form connections, like when learning a new skill, and adapt, like when changing behavior. Supporting this essential brain function helps patients shift depressive patterns and reach results.
By targeting and activating the areas of the brain where depression “lives,” TMS can provide long-lasting relief from depression symptoms, especially for those with TRD.
Advanced Options: Saint TMS Therapy
Another FDA-approved approach to relieving depression symptoms is SAINT TMS. Saint TMS Therapy in Costa Mesa offers a faster, individualized method for feeling better.
SAINT TMS uses advanced techniques to customize treatment to the individual’s needs. Using functional MRI (fMRI), they can map and target specific areas of the brain that are functioning less and need attention. Identifying specific needs for each individual builds on traditional TMS to provide a more effective treatment.
Similar to traditional TMS, SAINT TMS uses a magnetic coil to deliver magnetic pulses, but it mirrors the brain’s natural rhythm to work quicker and more effectively. This shortens the treatment time from several weeks to five days.
The quicker and more direct advanced technique is a good option to consider for those with severe depression, TRD, or those with a tighter schedule.
Why TMS is Becoming the Preferred Option
Medication is not always the best fit. Finding the right prescription can be difficult and often comes with side effects and constant adjustments. For someone with depression, managing medication can be extremely hard, and even more discouraging with TRD.
TMS therapy for depression in Costa Mesa supports long-term mental health without the need for prescriptions. The treatment itself has minimal side effects that can be managed with over-the-counter medication before the next session.
TMS is typically performed in a doctor’s office because it’s a non-invasive treatment that doesn’t require sedation or hospital stays. Patients can return to their day after treatment, including driving and returning to work, so there’s minimal disruption to their schedule.
Most importantly, TMS can work alongside psychotherapy and healthy lifestyle changes to support a holistic care plan.
Who’s a Good Candidate for TMS?
TMS therapy can benefit those who suffer from severe depression or have TRD and have struggled to find results with prescriptions and talk therapy.
Because it does not rely on pharmaceuticals, TMS therapy can also be a good option for those with drug sensitivities or who are looking for an alternative to lifelong medication plans.
Whether it’s you or a loved one, TMS therapy was designed to help patients struggling to find results. It provides an alternative option for those suffering from depression and an option for those looking for something that fits within their lifestyle.
A New Standard for Depression Relief
TMS therapy and SAINT TMS are the new standard for depression relief. They provide targeted and personalized treatment with proven success in patients.
Getting evaluated is the first step toward long-lasting results and resilience. Costa Mesa’s mental health care is offering that opportunity to the millions of people in California who suffer today, but don’t have to suffer tomorrow.
Every year, people search for the perfect gift to give their mother to show their appreciation on Mother’s Day. Though flowers and a card are nice, giving a beloved mother a thoughtful, practical gift that enhances her life will make her feel even more appreciated.

Thoughtful self-care Mother’s Day gifts that help moms relax and boost their wellness show how much they’re loved and appreciated.
Over the past several years, personal fitness and environmental sustainability have gained equal importance. Alongside numerous scientifically driven breakthroughs and the widespread availability of verified educational resources, people have become more informed about these topics.
Consequently, various new fitness and environmental trends have emerged, but none combine the two aspects as seamlessly as sea moss. Sea moss is a red algae superfood that has become a popular wellness staple due to its wide-ranging health benefits, especially as people look for natural ways to support their immune and digestive systems.
Sea Moss Benefits and Usage
Known for containing over 90% of the body’s daily mineral needs, sea moss is valued for its versatility. While some healthy food items must be consumed in a single, concentrated form to retain their benefits, sea moss can be prepared in numerous ways. It can be blended into smoothies, added to meals, or applied topically. In this way, its benefits are profound and widely accessible. Sea moss helps eliminate traditional obstacles to fitness lifestyles and regimens, bringing these benefits to people from all backgrounds and dispositions.
An Experienced Opinion
Organically, Kismet, founded in 2020, is a company that produces preservative-free sea moss gel with 8+ herbal-infused variations. Their trademark sea moss gel, Cielo, contains over 90% of the daily minerals recommended by specialists, adapts to individual needs, and has a shelf life of up to four weeks. Packed with antioxidants, minerals, and calming botanicals,
Cielo supports gut health, boosts immunity, enhances skin radiance, and encourages restful sleep. The superfood can be enjoyed independently or added to teas, smoothies, and other recipes. It can also be used externally as a face mask.
While these various forms of natural ingestion are highly beneficial, many experts warn against consuming sea moss as a supplement, such as a gummy. While sea moss has found its way into powders and gummies, experts caution that these processed forms lose much of the nutritional potency of fresh gel.
“Within that gummy, you’re only getting about 250 milligrams of sea moss, whereas in a tablespoon… you’re getting about 3,200 milligrams,” said Cita Salazar, founder of Organically Kismet.
A Cleaner, More Transparent Wellness Movement
Consumers are increasingly drawn to clean-label, preservative-free products. Brands like Organically Kismet offer organic, third-party-tested options that stay close to nature. Just as preserving the environment has become a priority for consumers, who want to see the brands they are purchasing play an active role in helping keep the planet healthy for years to come, they want that sustainability to help keep them healthy. Just as the planet’s well-being depends on people, so too does the well-being of people depend on the earth.
As the wellness industry shifts toward transparency and efficacy, sea moss in its purest form may soon become a staple in everyday routines, supporting health from the inside out.
Venice’s recently opened Hume wellness club features a compact hyperbaric chamber that circulates pure oxygen at air pressure rates approximately three times the normal amount. These high-end training tools are far from the outdated chain gym accommodations elsewhere. The new members-only club also boasts a gym with indoor/outdoor spaces overlooking the beachside enclave and offers services including Reiki, acupuncture, and lymphatic drainage massage. It also features a rooftop smoothie bar, steam rooms, and cold plunges, elevating the gym experience and reflecting a marked trend in LA.
Wellness Clubs
Though Hume revolves around the wellness space, it does not feel like a traditional gym. The wavy sitting benches inside the workout spaces are crafted from polished concrete, which blends with the downtempo electronic music emanating from pipes inside the winding, three-story club. The recovery area’s focal piece is the buttery couch, where guests can prop their feet up and use one of the always-charged massage guns to work out any sore muscles.
Hume features a floral scent wafting in and out of the club courtesy of a local French perfumer. Members can also purchase the smell at the front desk and take it home.
Membership
Unlike traditional gyms and wellness clubs, where members might be squeezing in a quick workout around the rest of their hectic lives, Hume aims for its patrons to “lose the sense of time” while at the wellness center. Co-founder and creative director Sandy Bole says, “There are no TVs anywhere. There are no clocks anywhere.”
This dissociation from time will cost members in other ways, however. Membership runs $395 per month, plus a $500 initiation fee and an application that may be rejected.
Hume aims to sell an aesthetically pleasing communal experience. Bole adds, “All the walls are hard-troweled, so you get this human, artisanal feel.” The creative director mentions that Hume has a waitlist with hundreds of hopefuls, but it is currently at capacity. However, outsiders are invited to Saturday socials if they come with a member.
Other Upscale Clubs
Hume is not the only upscale fitness club in the area. Remedy Place, which considers itself “the world’s first social wellness club,” opened in West Hollywood in 2019 and now boasts New York and Boston locations. The US has other socially focused wellness club initiatives, including Othership, SAA, and Continuum. The clubs have surged in popularity recently because they cater to a crowd that craves experiential activities, preferably in a beautiful location where they can break a sweat.
Some initiatives have LA roots, but they are becoming a nationwide trend. Unsurprisingly, the popularity surge comes when the lines of work-life balance have blurred, and social media dramatically influences many life decisions.
As individualized self-care becomes the balm against the instability of the early pandemic era, the wellness industry has bloomed beyond what was predicted. Pair this with an almost insatiable appetite for more experiential fare and active forms of entertainment, and you have the reason for the growing number of high-end wellness clubs, particularly in the LA area.
Serial entrepreneur’s data-driven approach to body optimization is backed-up by his ‘7 pillars of health,’ a concept which compliments Bryant’s weight loss methodology.
“I teach the MEAFY diet, I kind of coined that … I should have trademarked it,” Kenan Bryant laughs. Having created ‘The Body Optimization Blueprint’ in January 2023, Bryant – also known as ‘The Sculptor Coach,’ added a personalized strategy that revolved around seven key pillars: activity, fasting, hormones, sleep, strategic supplementation, weight training…and of course, food. The acronym “MEAFY” actually stands for Meat, Eggs, Avocado, Fruit, and Yogurt as they’re five feasible nutritional options for supporting insulin sensitivity, combat inflammation, and is a solid mix of protein, fats, fiber, and carbohydrates. If you combine these five foods throughout the day, you’ll ensure that you’re getting plenty of micronutrients, good gut bacteria, and calories but most importantly these foods help keep inflammation down and keep insulin and glucose under control, which I can’t stress enough how important these are to transforming your body.”
Bryant’s mission for the establishment of ‘The Body Optimization Blueprint’ was to show society that there were alternate methods to get healthy and achieve that optimal ‘look’ without having to stick to a regimented diet. “In theory, society has created this story that dieting is hard because of certain foods we should and shouldn’t eat, but with this blueprint it creates a concept of knowing when to eat as opposed to what to eat … something you can live by on a regular basis – long term.”
This mission was a result of Bryant traveling across the U.S. while living in an RV for two and a half years, a routine that was “slightly detrimental to his overall health” – he says. He started doing research, and hiring coaches and learning a new way to create his “dream body” without killing himself in the gym, counting macros and steps and blah blah blah. Having been on testosterone replacement therapy “TRT” since the age of 29 – and knowing the importance of it when working synergistically with diet and nutrition, he set out to use his new knowledge “hack the body” into burning fat, gaining muscle, and lose weight faster and EASIER than ever.
Through trial and error and repetition, Bryant discovered the benefits of incorporating blood work reviews into his blueprint, using it as a framework to maximize the body. “The ‘Internal Blueprint’ (blood work biomarkers, etc.) and the healthy, active ‘External Blueprint’ (exercise, optimal sleep, nutrition, etc.) need to be in sync in order to work,” he says. “If one thing is off, it’ll set off a chain reaction of misalignment.”
Armed with data (and a telehealth team) on how to properly utilize medications to support the human body as opposed to hurting it, as well as the seven pillars, Bryant’s Body “Optimization Blueprint” starts with our telehealth doctor getting your labs called in and then reviewing and discovering any inefficiencies which could range from things like liver or kidney damage, to low levels of sodium, testosterone, estrogen, Vit D, Vit B12, T3, progesterone, etc.
From there a supplement routine is created to restore those levels with both core and targeted supplements beneficial to the restoration process. “So there’s core supplements like multivitamins, Omega 3’s, Vitamin D, Magnesium, B vitamins, and then there’s targeted ones to support blood work that help reduce viscosity in the blood or help the kidneys filter better should you have higher kidney numbers,” Bryant explains.
“… and then we get into peptides. Peptides! They’re the icing on the cake when it comes to results.”
“And I’m not just talking GLP1*,” he continues, “there’s growth hormone for inflammation or tesofensine for increased metabolism, mental focus, clarity, and better mood. So there’s lots of different peptides in different formulations.”
With a variety of oral, injectable and topical solutions, Bryant’s potential clients have multiple options to implement his blueprint and realize efficient and effective results, with Bryant pointing out that his clients have achieved incredible health and wellness gains in just two-to-three months. If the blood work is the catalyst for unearthing any potential irregularities within the bodily system, the seven pillars are the meat and potatoes of Bryant’s program.
Kenan Bryant 7 Pillars of Health
Optimal Sleep:
Kenan champions for six or more hours of sleep as an ideal support system for keeping glucose under control. Techniques such as dimming the lights, wearing blue light blocking glasses, and hot epsom salt baths (along with many other tips obviously) are recommended with Kenan alluding to the fact that sleep is or could honestly be ‘the most important pillar’ because a lack of recovery means no recovery at all.
Food (MEAFY Diet):
Meat, Eggs, Avocado, Fruit, Yogurt
Five basic food groups make up the MEAFY diet, which can be mixed and matched or consumed individually. “If you combine most of those food groups throughout the day, you’re getting almost all vitamins, minerals, nutrients, fibers, proteins, macros, fats, and carbs,” Kenan says. Not to mention the insulin and inflammation support they create.
Fasting:
“Fasting is important, but can be a little tricky, especially with women because women tend to have thyroids that are irregular and fasting can be detrimental to regulating it, but they’ve been fasting to lose weight for so long that we get to create new habits for them – it’s a process that only we would know from a blood work review from someone who knows what they’re doing,” Kenan shares. “I teach fasting until you’re hungry (especially men), so usually five to seven hours after you wake up. Use that time in the morning to consume caffeine, vitamins, greens, all the stuff that clears your gut from the night before.” Kenan shares that fasting gives the digestive system a chance to reduce inflammation and prepare itself for the next time you put food in it. This in-turn regulates the body and gives it a better idea of what fats, carbs, sugars and proteins are and where to put them!
Kenan suggests going on a walk every day, IN PEAK SUNSHINE helps the circadian rhythm and sleep patterns. “20 to 60 minutes is ideal. Ultimately, you’re just trying to increase activity, so parking further away from the front door, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, but engage in some form of activity as well as getting out into the sun. People usually tell you to avoid the sun at the hottest part of the day but that’s when you absorb the most Vitamin D – just don’t burn obviously.” Other forms of heat exposure are also recommended, with options such as saunas, hot yoga, and high intensity interval training a substitute if you don’t have the luxury of living in Kenan’s favorite state of Florida.
Workout-Resistance Training:
“Two days a week, minimum, resistance training,” Kenan stresses. “In the beginning, as we’re increasing insulin sensitivity, we’ll increase the days that we do resistance training, and reduce the days we do other activities.” What resistance training involves is going to almost failure and could be a full body workouts like Orangerheory, F45, etc or a classic Upper Body, Lower Body day. Incorporating fan bike sprints, cycle class, or just sprints a few times a week post resistance training can accelerate results as well.
Strategic Supplementation:
Kenan and his team create a supplement routine to maintain and improve the health of his clients using a blend of core and targeted supplements (as mentioned above). This is always evolving and he often changes his sources and practices. So being a part of his program is the only way to get the real supplement protocols based on your blueprint layout.
Hormones & Medication:
Once the blood work review is carried out. The goal is to get the key hormones under control and ultimately fully optimized by using specific medications recommended by an in-house telehealth doctor. “A lot of people nowadays are scared of medications because of ‘Big Pharma’ and mainstream media,” Kenan claims. “What they need to understand is that we have a lot of data on what medications are necessary for the body optimization process, and we (in the biohacking and progressive longevity world) know how to use them to support and biohack our body versus hurting our body.”
Peptides and Research Molecules
Peptides get their own section on his pillars of health because peptides are what Kenan claims “makes everything work tenfold – but only kind of work if you’re not hormonal optimized and following the MEAFY diet.” Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers in the body, influencing physiological processes. For example, regulating blood sugar levels and promoting weight loss. Certain peptides, such as HGH-191aa (Human Growth Hormone) is known for promoting muscle growth, fat loss, and overall rejuvenation.

In the year 2025, a huge paradigm shift has occurred in the wellness industry, as the trend now shifts toward fun, easy, and accessible fitness solutions. As mental and physical wellness is becoming increasingly important to consumers, gamified exercise equipment has become a powerful alternative to traditional ways of engaging in exercise. These gamified tools allow one to stay fit in a fun and inexpensive way without all the added expenses and inconvenience.
The Rise of Affordable, At-Home Fitness Solutions
Economic challenges and the growing number of people working from home compel growth in demand for solutions around fitness at home. The membership to gyms is no longer feasible for many, rather consumers are turning toward innovative space-efficient alternatives that help them remain physically active without the expense and requirement of huge equipment or dedicated workout spaces. Besides that, there seems to be an increasing focus on mental health issues, further making these tools attractive as they provide stress relief and cognitive engagement, along with physical fitness.
Gamification and Mental Health Benefits
Gamification in fitness has proven to be more than a fad, it has become a motivational drive that maintains user engagement and workout consistency. By incorporating aspects of gameplay such as scoring, progress tracking, and challenges, these tools assist users in keeping their spirits high in committing long term to the fitness goals they set. On the other hand, those are equally important in terms of cognitive benefits. For instance, gamified workouts hone hand-eye coordination, increase concentration, and act as stress relievers. In a time when mental health is as important as physical fitness, such tools are becoming essentials.
A Standout Example of the Trend
One of the leading names in this movement is Boxbollen. The simple but amazing tool is simply a ball on a string that improves hand-eye coordination while giving an engaging workout with low impact. It has gone viral over the internet. Essentially, it is one of the simplest fitness gizmos ever and has gained popularity among all age groups and demographics.
“The beauty of Boxbollen lies in its simplicity: it’s a playful way to boost hand-eye coordination, improve mental health, and get a solid fitness boost—without needing a gym or freezing cold outdoor workouts.”
The effectiveness and smart design of the tool have earned recognition from celebrities including RFK Jr., Tom Brady, and Khloé Kardashian. Their appreciation of the tool further substantiates the effectiveness and mainstream appeal of Boxbollen. This has emphasized the growing trend for fitness innovations, which focus on enjoyment rather than strict traditional exercise.
The Future of Gamified Fitness
The rise of gamified fitness solutions is far more than a fleeting trend, it is a direct response to the changing wellness needs of present-day consumers. In 2025, when practical, entertaining, and effective physical activity solutions will be sought, such gamified fitness tools will only continue to gather momentum. By blending fitness with interactivity, these businesses are putting gamified fitness solutions on a path to turning exercise into something more welcoming, motivating, and customized for different lifestyles.
As the industry continues to evolve, the definition of fitness is expanding beyond the boundaries of discipline and endurance. It is more about having fun while staying healthy.
In an opinion piece for the Daily Bruin, Nadine Ismail reflected on the shifts in diet culture and societal norms between her childhood in the Middle East and the city of Los Angeles. While comments on weight and the suggestion of plastic surgery were common in Jordan, she was met with a “more pervasive form of body scrutiny” in LA.
Nadine shared how even the lyrics from Katy Perry’s “California Girls” were setting unconscious expectations as she prepared to move to LA for college. She said that her friends would tease her about having to keep up with the “stick-thin, blonde athletes.”
“While we laughed about these ideals,” Nadine wrote, “living in LA turned out to be more complicated than I expected. Moving here has undoubtedly changed my relationship with food in ways I didn’t anticipate.”
“This shift left me wondering why,” she continued. “What is it about the Middle East and LA—their diet cultures and societal norms—that feels so different?”
A Distinction Between Cultural and Societal Pressure
In the remainder of her piece, Nadine explains what feels so different about the two standards as a distinction between Jordan’s cultural scrutiny and the hard, defining pressures of LA society.
Jordan’s Cultural Scrutiny
While no one is afraid to comment on appearance in Jordan, Nadine shared that her AP Calculus teacher once suggested that she get lip filler, which is tied to culture and community. It’s part of the norm to bluntly discuss weight and appearance, but comments were easily dismissed as they came and went.
“Yes, beauty standards existed,” Nadine explained, “but they coexisted with values of family, hospitality and tradition.”
LA’s Defining Pressures
In LA, Nadine was met with billboards featuring models, Ozempic ads, and celebrities who pressured those around them to conform. As opposed to a passing comment, the societal pressures of LA are all-encompassing, intentionally narrowing the definition of what it means to care for oneself. Even when comments were made, they were subtle.
“Small remarks in casual conversations would stick with me,” Nadine said. “‘Oh my god, I was so bad today. I ate a burger with the actual bun and fries on the side,’ or, ‘You think that’s healthy? It has peanut butter on it.’”
“I could never enjoy bread or eat peanut butter without hesitation again,” she shared.
Societal Norms as Potential Hindrances
LA caused Nadine to “unlearn” her previous feelings about food, from something social and abundant to something hesitant and invasive. Food started creating questions about whether she was eating right, exercising enough, or looking good enough. There was something positive about the wellness culture of LA, but it was hindered by the persistent pressure of society.
“I’ve come to understand that both cultures have their flaws,” Nadine concluded. “Jordanian remarks about appearance are uninvited and unwelcome, yet their transparency makes them less corrupting. Meanwhile, LA’s wellness culture, despite its emphasis on body positivity, often feels tied to beauty standards that equate physical perfection with self-worth.”
Finding Self-Worth in Any Culture
Nadine’s example shows that, no matter the culture, its standards should not be a definition of one’s self-worth. They may inform identity, but the individual should always pursue the lifestyle that is best for their personal health and well-being.
