From AI-powered cameras and indoor golf simulators to smart kitchen appliances and portable cooling solutions, a new generation of technology products is changing Father’s Day gifting.

Father’s Day gifting is taking a distinctly high-tech turn in 2026. Instead of traditional presents, innovative technology offers fathers smarter ways to enjoy their hobbies, simplify everyday tasks, and spend more quality time with their families. From AI-assisted cameras and immersive golf simulators to intelligent kitchen appliances and portable cooling devices, a wide range of products is designed to enhance real-world experiences without adding unnecessary complexity. Five standout innovations are leading this change by combining convenience, performance, and thoughtful design.

Bringing the Golf Course Indoors

For fathers who enjoy golf but struggle to find time for a full day on the course, Golf Envy offers a technology-driven alternative. Its indoor simulator facilities use Golf Zone technology, featuring moving plates, cameras, laser tracking, and integration with the Leadbetter Academy, to recreate authentic course conditions. A single membership also provides access to more than 11 locations, making it a practical option for busy schedules.

“They have moving plates, which is very unique to really simulate what the experience is like as close to what one would experience for being out on the course,” said Jane Chai of Golf Envy.

Beyond realism, the concept is designed with modern parents’ convenience in mind.

“It’s making it easy for the dad who’s busy during the week… they want to be present parents, so they won’t spend that whole long Saturday on the golf course. They can get it done very quickly and then make it to baseball.”

Golf Envy also aims to make the sport more accessible.

“One of the things that can be pretty intimidating about golf clubs is that they have a very strict membership program… it’s really expensive to pay for membership in these clubs. While our locations have a little more relaxed environment, we don’t have the distraction of a food and beverage location.”

Smarter Pre-Roll Preparation

Technology is also finding its place in cannabis accessories through Day Savers, the direct-to-consumer brand from Custom Cones USA. Its Perfect Pack machine simplifies pre-roll cone filling by eliminating the challenges of hand-packing. The company is preparing to launch the upgraded Perfect Pack 2.0, incorporating customer feedback, offering improved cleaning functionality, and delivering additional power.

“It’s really good for folks that don’t roll. It’s really good for folks with dexterity issues that either can’t roll, or packing and stuff is made a little bit more difficult,” said James Valentine, Content & Communications Manager at Custom Cones USA.

The next-generation device further builds on user suggestions.

“In the next couple of weeks, we have our 2.0 version that we’re going to be putting out. Some of the feedback that we got is, it would be nice if we could take a piece off so we could clean it, and then have an extra piece… and a little bit more power.”

Quality assurance remains another key focus for the company.

“Our big three that we test for are heavy metals, pesticides, and microbials… our papers are tested to the level where it’s as the cannabis that goes in it. The tests that they do on cannabis are exactly the type of testing that we do on our papers.”

Modernizing the Home Kitchen

For fathers who enjoy cooking, Typhur is positioning its Sink Oven as an indoor alternative to traditional grilling. The appliance reaches maximum temperature within two to three minutes and features a built-in thermometer that enables hands-off cooking for everything from reverse-seared steaks to bread proofing. Complementing the oven is the Fast Nugget Ice Maker, now equipped with a scheduling feature that prepares ice before guests arrive.

“It preheats, I mean, two to three minutes to your highest level of temperature. It’s ready to go whenever you want. The built-in thermometer helps a lot,” said Dylan Wirth, Executive Chef at Typhur.

The latest ice maker introduces additional convenience.

“The new one that also just got released has the option to set a schedule for it. So you can set it to — it’ll be like an hour or 30 minutes before people start arriving, and it’ll just start making the ice for you.”

Wirth also noted the product’s appeal for homeowners without outdoor cooking space.

“Some people aren’t quite so lucky to have a backyard. Having a built-in thermometer, putting it into the oven, setting the temp that I want, and then just being able to walk away — it makes life just a lot easier.”

Focusing on Smarter Outdoor Comfort

As outdoor activities remain popular during the summer months, Aecooly is introducing portable cooling solutions for fathers who camp, tailgate, or work outdoors. The company’s fan lineup emphasizes quieter operation alongside an airflow system engineered to maximize cooling efficiency. Its flagship Air-Cold Cold Air-Ultra model also integrates a misting function for additional evaporative cooling.

“If you compare Aecooly’s fans to the opposition, they are less noisy — the decibels from the Aecooly fans are lower than the competition,” said Ares, spokesperson for Aecooly.

The innovation extends beyond motor performance.

“There’s some innovation in the way the air flows through the device… it’s not only about how potent is the motor, but it’s also about how the air flows through the device that’s helping it lower the temperature.”

The flagship model further enhances the cooling experience.

“The air-cold, cold air-ultra… it’s including this mist option, which is like spraying a little bit of water at the same time that it’s doing the fan work. So it’s making it feel like a lower temperature easier than just the fan.”

Expanding Beyond Action Cameras

GoPro is broadening its camera lineup with the Mission One series, designed to deliver professional-quality video while making family photography more intuitive. The compact system uses on-camera AI to automatically optimize settings and track subjects without generating or altering content. A more advanced Mission One Pro ILS with interchangeable Micro Four-Thirds lenses is scheduled to launch in the third quarter.

“This new camera system is a little bit of an evolution on the other cameras we’ve had. This is the world’s greatest adventure camera that you can take anywhere and still get the highest quality of video and photo content that you could use in even a professional context,” said Chris Prado, Head of PR at GoPro.

The company emphasizes responsible use of artificial intelligence.

“We actually have an AI chip on our camera, but we’re really clear that we don’t ever want to generate anything. We’re not interested in creating frames that didn’t exist or fabricating details that were never there in your scene. We use AI as a means of really helping the user be in the right settings or get a better shot than they would have originally.”

The technology is intended to help parents stay engaged with family moments.

“You can just kind of point it in the general direction of your child and not have to think about framing the shot, or really getting separated from being able to live that moment with your family. It just lets you be hands-free and enjoy that moment while still ensuring that you’re capturing everything.”

Technology Drives Father’s Day Giving

As Father’s Day approaches, technology is shaping how families choose gifts that match individual interests and lifestyles. Whether centered on golf, cooking, outdoor recreation, content creation, or specialized hobbies, these products reflect a broader movement toward intuitive tools that simplify everyday experiences while delivering professional-level performance.
